The GTX 1070 is Faster Than a Freaking Titan X!

The majority of headlines so far have revolved around NVIDIA’s new flagship and its absurdly impressive price point. Even though this is a huge reduction compared to the Titan X, it’s still too expensive for many consumers. Thankfully, the company also unveiled a cheaper model, which offers 6.5 TFLOPS of performance compared to the GTX 1080’s 9 TFLOPs. On another note, the card will feature 8GB GDDR5 instead of GDDR5X on the higher-end model. The real story here is the GTX 1070 is actually faster than a Titan X and will retail for $379. This is just unbelievable and a testament to the revolutionary performance improvements we can expect from Pascal. It’s great to see Pascal offer huge performance gains while remaining relatively accessible for many PC gamers.
