Guardians of the Galaxy PC Reqs Revealed – Storage Gobbler Ahoy!

On October 26th, the highly anticipated ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘ game will be released, and I daresay that more than a few of you reading this are probably hugely looking forward to it! You’ll probably also perhaps be perhaps equally disgusted to learn that I haven’t watched any of the films. – For those of you planning on playing this on your PC, however, you might be wondering if your system has the necessary grunt. Well, following an update to the official Steam Store website, we have our full and final PC requirements for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, and the short version is that although not overly demanding, this is definitely going to be a storage gobbler!

Guardians of the Galaxy – PC Requirements

On the whole, the PC requirements are quite benign and, as such, the vast majority of you (with even a mildly relevant gaming setup) shouldn’t have any problems in getting this title to run (and fairly well too). The most eyebrow-raising aspect of them, however, is undoubtedly seen in the storage requirements. – With 150GB of free space required, this is quite huge. While not as massive as the full-blown Call of Duty Modern Warfare experience (circa 230GB), if you’re planning on putting this on an SSD, if you don’t already have a large capacity device, you’re probably going to have to make some room!

What Do We Think?

While the storage size is undoubtedly going to represent a problem for some users, on something of a semi-sidenote, it makes me wonder how big the console version of the game is going to be. I mean, it feels like I have hardly anything on my PS5 at the moment, yet I’ve still somehow found a way to take up more than 65% of its integrated SSD.

On the plus side though, the problems will begin and end with the storage for most users. The recommended specifications here are, quite frankly, nothing close to what I would deem ‘high-spec’.
