Guillermo del Toro & Hideo Kojima Join Forces for New Silent Hill Game

jpg

I used to be a huge fan of Silent Hill, I can see past the terrible movie, I can see past the sub-par sequels to the series and I can see all the way back to the first couple of games in the series from the PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2 days, especially the first game. These were genuinely engrossing and scary games in my opinion, they captivated something really special and at many times, some things that are really screwed up, but that was the fun of the series.

Now it looks like the series is about to get the reboot it deserves as industry gaming legend Hideo Kojima of Metal Gear Solid fame is on board, so too is legendary director Guillermo del Toro and they’ve also pored in actor Norman Reedus of The Walking Dead and The Boondock Saints!

Interestingly the game is called Silent Hills, the s on the end leaves a huge amount of room for speculation, can we expect some kind of reboot of previous games, multiple timelines, who knows? But with Sony saying that an “interactive teaser” of their P.T project which has been linked to the new game is on PSN now, it’s likely that you’ll be able to find more clues buried in that.
