Gwent Card Game from The Witcher Has Been Trademarked

There are many things that gamers appreciate when it comes to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and while the game’s graphics, storyline and engaging combat system are definitely noteworthy, some people have really become hooked on Gwent. It’s not hard to understand why Gwent is such a great past time, especially since the game has a collectible component, not to mention its simplicity and depth. Granted, Gwent is probably not as complex in its mechanics when compared to Hearthstone for example, but it does put up a good fight, especially once the player manages to achieve a sizeable card collection.

Not too long ago, a Gwent trademark has surfaced online alongside a unique logo, which means that CD Projekt Red is likely to unveil a standalone Gwent game during this year’s E3 event. A standalone Gwent – The Witcher Card Game would undoubtedly be received with open arms by the gaming community, and even though the game is not confirmed officially at the time of writing, we’ll definitely find out more in the next few days and we will keep you posted.

Are you familiar with Gwent, and if so, are you looking forward to playing it outside of Witcher 3? I know I am.
