A hacker who has threatened to release the upcoming season 5 episodes of the NetFlix show Orange is the New Black has made good with his promise and released it via torrent websites. Going by the username “thedarkoverlord” the hacker has leaked the first 10 episodes worth 11.46 GB in size shortly before 6AM ET on Pirate bay. Season 5 of Orange is the New Black is not scheduled to go live on NetFlix until June 9 but the streaming giant will most likely push ahead the release following the leak.
The hacker “thedarkoverlord” released the Orange is The New Black episodes after NetFlix has ignored his demands. Even after the leak has come out, the company has yet to issue an official statement. Moreover, “thedarkoverlord” also claims to have plenty of other unaired show episodes from networks such as ABC, Fox National Geographic and IFC, but has not yet disclosed specifically which shows those are.
The episodes are believed to have been obtained after an attack on post-production studio Larson Studios in late 2016, according to TorrentFreak. Only the first 10 episodes of Orange is the New Black was released out of a 13-episode season due to the fact that the last three episodes were not completed yet at the time of the attack.
