Halo 4 Xbox 360 Review

As a hardcore Halo fan, I’ve been waiting a long time for this game to be released. Not only because is it the sequel to one of the biggest gaming franchises of all time, but also because its one of the few premium split screen multiplayer games on the market this generation.

As you may or may not know, the previous Halo titles were developed (for the most part) by now legendary developers Bungie, who over the last two console generations have shaped and crafted Halo into the historic gaming figure that it is today. It came as a shock to many fans of the series when Bungie announced their departure from the series and moved on to do their own thing for a while. In steps the Microsoft studio 343i to take charge of the Halo series and the question that was on everyone’s lips “is it still going to be a true Halo game?” was more important that ever before.

Halo 4 has already been with us a few weeks now, you don’t need me to tell you that it has been a massive success and won over millions of fans, but Halo means a lot to me (as much as a game can at least) and I still wanted to share my thoughts and experiences of the game.

I play a lot of co-op games with my girlfriend and the Halo series is easily one of our favorites, we’ve already mastered Halo CE, 2 & 3, blasted our way through ODST, Reach and the CE HD Remake. We’ve clocked up literally hundreds of hours in multiplayer with our matching armour and team colours, you better believe we’re that serious (sad I know).

My point here is that we’ve been playing Halo for years, we’ve picked every corner of what the series has to offer. So lets take a look at Halo 4 and see if it comes anywhere near to what is already a near perfect set of games.

As a child still in my 30's (but not for long), I spend my day combining my love of music and movies with a life-long passion for gaming, from arcade classics and retro consoles to the latest high-end PC and console games. So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
