Microsoft has just revealed the official PC system requirements for their upcoming game, Halo Wars 2. With the game set to release on February 21st, it’s the perfect time to make sure your system is up to speed to get the best from the game, but the good news is that it doesn’t seem too demanding for most modern mid-range systems.
As a minimum, you’ll be wanting a quad-core CPU from the last few generations, which is to be expected given that RTS games are typically CPU intensive. Anything from the Intel i5-2500 or FX-4350 should do perfectly. A half-decent quad-core CPU is pretty much the staple of and PC gaming rig, so that’s not a problem for most people.
GPU ideally wants to be from the GTX 600 series or above for Nvidia or the HD 7750 from AMD, most likely due to the games use of the DirectX 12 API.
So, can you run it?
