Haswell’s integrated graphics on par with Nvidia’s GeForce GT 650M GPU

Intel did have Haswell on display at CES 2013. Intel did a system comparison with a Haswell CPU with integrated graphics in the corner and a system with an i7 Ivy Bridge CPU and Nvidia GeForce GT 650M GPU. The benchmark was done at the 1080p resolution and with high settings on Dirt 3.

The GT 650M is a mid-range graphics part with 128-bit bus, with memory and core clock speed as high as 900MHz and its also used in Apple’s 15″ Macbook Pro with the Retina Display. It’s also pointed out that Intel has released a new QuickSync SDK which will let developers have compatible software by the time the processor rolls out.

As of now, Intel plans to launch the 4th Generation Core Series “Haswell” processors by the end of Q2 this year.
