Hauppauge, a leading manufacturer of video recording devices, has recently announced the launch of its famous HD PVR in Gaming Edition this time.
The HD PVR was a hit for recording satellite and cable TV in high definition, and Hauppauge have now expanded their market with an edition aimed at gamers. The universal high definition component video set that is included will allow both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 gamers to record their game play in HD.
Equipped with a pro-quality high definition video encoder and support for multi-channel digital audio, all recordings are done in H.264, which is the same format used for Blu-ray movies. It also includes software that allows the game play to be recorded and then uploaded on YouTube for sharing.
For peace of mind for avid gamers, the HD recording is done via the Component cable (red/blue/green connectors) and is only a pass through, meaning that no delay will be noticed, so the gamer won’t be annoyed while it is recording. The HD PVR Gaming edition includes a set of cables to connect from an Xbox 360 or a Playstation 3 to the PVR as well as a set of cables to connect directly to an HD monitor.
The HD PVR Gaming Edition will be available at the end of August with a suggested retail price of £199.
