Are you an Android user? Have you missed the HBO Now on this platform? Rejoice! For those who don not know about this service, HBO is known for its popular TV shows such as Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley and True Detective. Its standalone subscription service, HBO Now has been exclusive to Apple for a long time, but it is going to change very soon. Today, at Google I/O 2015, Google SVP Sundar Pichai announced that HBO now is coming to Android this summer. It will be headed to the Play Store with support for Google Cast and Chromecast. The compatibility will be extended to the iOS version of HBO Now. HBO is going to see its customer base increase in millions after this move.
$14.99 is the price you need to pay for HBO Now on the monthly basis. It offers subscribers full access to the premium network’s original shows and the huge catalog of Hollywood movies. At the moment, Apple devices such as iPhone and iPad are the only multimedia devices that can stream content from the HBO Now. As announced by the Google SVP at Google I/O, HBO has already offered for long time an HBO Go app, which requires a cable account and runs on Android platform.
