According to sources from Scandinavia AMD’s HD 7000 series will be released on December the 5th. Before you get too excited the initial launch is only to be comprised of mobile GPUs and maybe some low end GPUs. It has been indicated that the launch will consist of 28nm fabrication graphics units. In keeping with the “London” codename, AMD will launch the “Thames” and “Seymour” mobile GPUs at an event in London on December the 5th. Another idea is that AMD could also unveil some of its next-generation GPUs based on the GCN architecture, which would be AMD’s biggest leap in GPU architecture since the Radeon HD 2000 series.
