Emulation of the PlayStation 3 is making incredible progress, as the developers of RPCS 3 release a new video, showing off three more games running better than ever. Heavy Rain, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, and Bleach: Soul Resurrection are up and running, and while there are some performance issues, the three games are becoming more playable.
The videos were uploaded to the Zangetsu and Bahax PC Gaming YouTube channels, and showcase the progress of the engine quite well. Heavy Rain does have some issues with Sixaxis, but if previous emulation progress has taught me anything, fixing that is the easy part. Bleach works very well, with just some shadow issues, and Ni No Kuni does run a little slow, but otherwise looks to be working perfectly.
We’re looking forward to further advancements from this emulator, and while it has made some impressive progress, there is obviously still a lot of work to be done. Of course, with successful PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2 emulators having been with us for years now, it’s only a matter of time before this one is complete.
