Sony has done a good job at ruining the name of Helldivers 2 and has done a number on the game player count with it still being delisted in nearly 200 countries. Although the PSN requirement has now been reversed the damage has been done and now 177 countries are unable to play the game with Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia being the latest.
The CEO of Arrowhead Johan Pilestedt has now given us an update on the game delisting on Steam and it does not look good. I do feel very sympathetic towards Arrowhead’s CEO after doing everything right and then having victory snatched away by Sony.
In a Discord message on the Helldivers 2 server, the CEO Pilestedt said “It doesn’t look positive. It is not an indication of further restrictions. The conversation on region restrictions is still ongoing and is independent of this.”
He does go on to say that they are in contact with Sony trying to get them to change their decision but it doesn’t look like it will happen considering the same thing is happening with Ghost of Tushima.
