In anticipation of its impending launch on October 27, Assassin’s Creed: Origins has just received its official PC requirements list. By the look of things, you’re going to need a decent rig in order to play it properly. Modern games are steadily becoming more and more demanding, but at least on paper, Origins doesn’t seem to be that resource-hungry. This hints at improved PC optimization, a problem that plagued previous Assassin’s Creed games since the Unity fiasco. And since Ubisoft has decided to skip a year in order to make sure that this Assassin’s Creed would be a quality product, expectations are high.
In order to play this title on low, you’ll need an Intel Core i5-2400 or an AMD FX-6350 CPU complemented by 6GB of RAM. The graphics card should be a GeForce GTX 660 or AMD R9 270. Keep in mind that this configuration is aimed at 720p gaming. For high settings at 1080p, Ubisoft recommends an Intel Core i7- 3770 or an AMD FX-8350. The RAM requirement is bumped to 8GB, while the graphics card should be at least a GeForce GTX 760 or an AMD R9 280X. We’re not exactly sure if these requirements were compiled with 30FPS in mind, but we sure hope not.
Moreover, Assassin’s Creed: Origins will feature a built-in performance benchmark tool. This could come in handy when you’re trying to find a good balance between great graphics and high FPS.
Below you will find a complete list of requirements for the newest Assassin’s Creed.
