Here’s a Look at the First Modded Match for Star Wars: Battlefront

Even though Star Wars: Battlefront has only been launched a few days ago, it looks like modders are already hard at work trying to make this game better or at least more exciting to play. This shouldn’t surprise anyone, not just because we’re talking about a Star Wars game, but because Battlefront was one of the most anticipated games of the year. The very first modded match for Star Wars: Battlefront was recently showcased by a YouTube user named “NoFaTe,” and it ran on a custom dedicated server. The main modifications included jetpacks with increased range as well as unlimited hitpoints for players.
However, the mod’s creator has revealed that he doesn’t plan to release anything in the near future, as the entire project was only made for fun’s sake. That being said, it’s also worth noting that this very special match of Star Wars: Battlefront was plagued by quite a few important bugs, especially as far as the AI is concerned.
“Even though mostly everything seems to work fine, the AI is relatively broken when running a co-op map off-of a dedicated server (but at least it’s not as broken as it used to be in older Frostbite iterations.) A sad change, was the addition of that gray filter when out-of-bounds, which I didn’t get to remove since I wanted to get this video out as soon as possible.”
