An Even Closer look
The IceQ X cooler uses a transparent blue plastic with a similarly coloured fan in the centre.
There are four heatpipes at the top of the card which adds extreme cooling and some nice visuals if you have a windowed case. The heatpipes join up with the large aluminium cooler which features a solid copper base to make contact with the GPU.
To accompany the large aluminium cooler, there is also a small metal strip which acts as a heatsink for the VRMs and stops them from getting too hot and overheating, especially when overclocking.
Once the cooler has been taken off, it will reveal the main components of the graphics card.
The memory used on this card are Hynix GDDR5 memory chips. For your reference, the chips used have the code H5QX1H24AFA and they run at 1250MHz (5000MHz).
The PWM controller used on this card is the CHiL CHL8214 which includes I2C voltage override and Vmax settings for the best control over your cards voltage.
In the middle of the card (covered in thermal paste) is the AMD Barts 40nm GPU core which runs at a clock speed on this card at 820MHz.
