Not to repeat too much on what we’ve seen and found in the 7750 Pro reference card review with regards to positioning in the market and it target audience, we have to say that again we can see that the 7750 is an ideal upgrade for the everyday user who wishes to bring their system right up to date whilst harnessing the power of the technologies available from the 7000 series of graphics cards from AMD.
The iCoolers performance here is the unique selling point for HIS with the ability to keep the noise levels right down whilst keeping the card cool under full load. We also see that with the cooler has the potential to run passively meaning that the card can run totally silent which makes it perfect for a HTPC or server usage, which opens up a whole new market for them.
We don’t have any exact prices for the UK e-tailors as of yet, however the guide price for the 7750 is around the £100 inc VAT mark, with the HIS 7750 iCooler set to retail for around £102 inc VAT. When we look at the US pricing where this card is set at around the $110 mark (which equates to about £70), the jump between the US and UK pricing ladders gives this card a poor level of bang for buck and unfortunately this is something that we find across the board with the UK markets.
We again will point out that this isn’t an out and out frame crunching graphics card but one that will maximise the 2D performance for the everyday user who wants to have a multi screen setup without spending a huge amount of money, which allows for extra productivity when needed the most.
