HIS Digital announced two new additions to their Radeon 500-series lineup in the form of RX 550 Green Slim-iCooler video cards. A 4GB and a 2GB GDDR5 memory version is available, but their design and features are otherwise identical. It is equipped with the same Lexa XT GPU as the regular dual-slot RX 550, with 512 shader units, 32 TMUs, 16 ROPs and 8 CUs. Despite the slim form factor,t he HIS Digital RX 550 Green Slim-iCooler cards have the standard DVI, HDMI and full-size DisplayPort rear connectors. It also supports up to three simultaneous displays and resolutions up to 5120 x 2880 @ 60Hz via the DisplayPort 1.4.
The HIS Digital Green Slim-iCooler heatsink system makes it possible to create a single-slot design. A single 90mm fan in the middle is responsible for active cooling duties. This exhausts the heat towards the front and sides of the RX 550 video card. This 11-piece fan blade also shuts down automatically when the temperature is below 50C.
