HITMAN 2 Update 2.12 Brings Holiday Hoarders Seasonal Event

The First Seasonal Event for HITMAN 2 is Here

IO Interactive has rolled out update 2.12 for HITMAN 2. This is the game’s second significant update in a while and it brings a multitude of new features.

This even includes the first seasonal event for HITMAN 2 they are calling “Holiday Hoarders”. In addition, IO interactive claims to add “hundreds of improvements, fixes and tweaks to the entire game across all disciplines.”

What is New with Holiday Hoarders?

The Holiday Hoarders time-limited event includes missions with new festive items to use. It also features a Challenge Pack that allows players to permanently unlock the Santa 47 suit for use in all HITMAN 2 locations. As long as you make sure to unlock it before the event ends on January 8th.

There are also four new Challenges that can be earned by completing Featured Contracts. Each one will reward a new unlock, which will be permanently added to your inventory. Featured Contracts are just one element of the ‘live content’ that is continually releasing for all HITMAN 2 players. IO Interactive also plans to release 5 new Featured Contracts per month.

Progress towards all of these challenges will begin starting on December 18, 2018 and players can only gain credit for completing each contract once. Completing the same Featured Contract 40 times won’t help. If players have already completed a Featured Contract, they will need to complete it again to make progress on these new challenges.

  • Apprentice – Complete 5 Featured Contracts to unlock the Measuring Tape.
  • Journeyman – Complete 15 Featured Contracts to unlock the Handyman Wrench.
  • Specialist – Complete 25 Featured Contracts to unlock the [Redacted unlock].
  • Master – Complete 40 Featured Contracts to unlock the [Redacted unlock].
