Hitman’s New Release Date Has Been Revealed

We have already informed you that Square Enix and IO Interactive have delayed HITMAN until March 2016, but now we know exactly when the game is set to be released: March 11, 2016. At launch, the game will offer three locations, namely Sapienza, Paris and Marrakesh, and it will include a total of six campaign missions. However, players will also be able to kill 800 targets via the game’s Contracts mode.

In April, May and June, IO Interactive plans to release brand new sandbox locations, each featuring new signature kills, missions and Contracts targets. Those who are interested in HITMAN’s live content will be glad to know that it will kick off in March. It will include weekly IOI developed Contracts, promoted fan-made content and time-limited targets.

HITMAN’s Intro Pack will debut on March 11, 2016, and it will set you back $34.99. It will incorporate all of the launch content as well as all of the Live Events and Contracts for all locations unveiled in March 2016. It certainly looks like HITMAN will be a fragmented game that will receive new content on a monthly basis, at least for a while. Whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing, I guess we’re about to find out.

Will you be picking up HITMAN?
