It’s clear that Hogwarts legacy is off to a great start, with huge player numbers already setting some impressive records on Steam this last week. Furthermore, it’s generally proving a success in terms of reviews too, with mostly positive scores. Any issues with the game aren’t taking too much away from the stunning graphics, interesting story, and gorgeously detailed game world. However, there’s always room for improvement.
The first update released by Avalanche brings a fair few PC-specific improvements. One of the most noticeable issues was Ray Tracing Ambient Occlusion, which no longer needs some workarounds to resolve, however, the RT Shadows still pop in, but we’re hopeful that’ll be addressed in a future update too.
There were some performance issues on Nvidia graphics cards too, which they claim they have fixed, but some reports are saying that this is still an issue, so perhaps it’s fixed for some, but not others.
Overall though, there are a fair few fixes, and even then, there’s still room to improve some of the game’s stuttering issues. Of course, you can check out the changelog below, and hopefully, the above issues will be sorted in the next update!
