If you’re enjoying Horizon Forbidden West, and I suspect you might be, it’s a pretty fantastic game that spectacularly builds upon the original, then you’ll be glad to see there’s a very tasty update for the game today, especially tasty if you play on an ultrawide format monitor.
While the new update for Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition contains various optimizations, bug fixes and stability improvements, as you might expect, it also comes with the ability to remap the TAB key, as well as the ability to move the HUD position. That last one is the most welcome, as ultrawide gamers like myself have noticed that the UI remained fixed in a 16:9 orientation, meaning it broke the immersion a little bit. Now you can move it out to the more extremes of the monitor, freeing up the viewable space in the middle.
Various other fixes see things like the custom difficulty settings now functioning correctly, and the visual corruption on waterfalls that was caused by the use of DLSS Frame Generation. The developer also added a note that “the teams at Nixxes and Guerrilla continue to closely monitor reports and are actively working on future patches with more bug fixes and optimizations.”
