Nvidia’s blog reports that HP have just unveiled a pair of tablets based on their new quad core Tegra 4 SoC. The two new models are the Slate 7 Extreme (above) and the Slate 8 Pro (below). The Slate 7 Extreme is based on the Tegra 4 SoC with a 1280 x 800 display of 7 inches. This tablet comes with a stylus in the box but it isn’t a special digitiser or anything that fancy. This tablet will run Android but the version isn’t specified. The next tablet is the Slate 8 Pro which is a larger 7.98 inch device with a 1600 x 1200 resolution display. This is again powered by Nvidia’s Tegra 4 SoC and uses a 4:3 aspect ratio. The Slate 8 Pro has an 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera as well as an SD card slot and HDMI out port. This tablet also runs Android of an unknown version.
Neither tablets have pricing or availability revealed. If you were also wondering why the specifications are a bit hit and miss it is also because they weren’t fully disclosed either. We will bring you more details when they arrive.
