Computex 2024:
HP is making some seriously sweet storage and memory products these days, and given they’re being made under official license by BiWin, that’s hardly surprising, given that BiWin makes many of the best SSDs and memory products on the market today for many of the biggest names in the business. For HP, they’ve got the new FX700 SSD. While not their flagship product, it’s targeted at eSports gaming, as it’s plenty fast, but also efficient and cost effective, with speeds of up to 7200 MB/s read, and capacities of 512GB to 4TB, and it will be very competitively priced too!
Then there’s the new SSD FX900, which is PCIe 4.0, but will deliver read and write speeds of 5000 MB/s and 4800 MB/s respectively, and comes with a graphene thermal layer, and while not the fastest, it’s going to be a great entry point for those first investing in M.2 storage, given that it’s around 10x faster than a 2.5″ SSD and has high compatibility and a lower price point.
For something a little faster, there’s the SSD FX900 Plus, which features much faster speeds of 7400 MB/s read, and 6500 MB/s write, but also comes in more sizes, with 512GB, 1TB, 2TB and also a 4TB variant.
And finally the FX 900 Pro, similar performance to the Plus, but it features a 1GB DRAM Cache on the 512GB and 1TB models, 2GB on the 2TB and 4GB on the 5TB model, and slightly faster write speeds of 6700 MB/s, while using NVMe 1.4 technology.
