HP to relaunch the TouchPad for one last run

HP has confirmed that one final run of the WebOS TouchPad tablets is going to happen. This was confirmed by the PR manager Mark Budgell. The reason for this is the massive stock clearance HP did on their TouchPad selling them at $99 a piece created huge demand for them and now they have a solid market reputation as being a good reliable tablet PC maker.
Apparently, this next run of TouchPad’s will be made from existing parts that were expected to be used but never were because production stopped. Therefore, HP has an obligation to its suppliers to clear stock that they agreed to use so expect that these TouchPads will still be cheap but probably not still $99 since HP cannot afford to make a loss on what is believed to be another 100,000 TouchPads (according to how many parts they have left over). The WebOS which the TouchPad uses is currently under offer from Samsung as they are looking to buy or license it for some of their products so it would appear the TouchPad maybe does have a future still.
