When it comes to PC’s, you can build or buy ones that fit many styles. From the classic design of a tower to the micro USB-like PC’s that can plug straight into your TV’s for instant entertainment, your PC can be as much about its style as it is the components you find within it. The latest case from HP is hard to tell where it fits on this with the Omen X being both stylish and functional.
The Omen X sadly will only fit in a micro-ATX motherboard but don’t let that stop you from enjoying it. With separate compartments for your motherboard, power supply, and storage, the Omen X will let you power up to two full-length graphics cards while the storage bay will let you hot swap out up to four different 3.5 or 2.5 drives.
With the different compartments offering a slightly bigger case than normal for your average micro-ATX case, the price tag will also come in a little larger than normal with a complete system starting you off at around £2,000. The reason for this large price tag isn’t just the components. The case alone will set you back £600 but HP is insistent that the case is more than just looks. The case’s 45 degrees angle will give you not only a better airflow but will help you access the different compartments with ease.
Would you part with £2,000 for this PC or the £600 needed to get the case? Or is this a case where the price outweighs the value behind the design?
