Pictures coming in from Chinese website Weibo have revealed the HTC One Max – HTC’s attempt at making a larger smartphone to compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note II/III and the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. The HTC One Max is a 5.9 inch full HD (1920 x 1080) smartphone that run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and HTC Sense 5.5.
Internally the device is believed to be powered by the Snapdragon 800 SoC/chipset which gives it a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor at 1.7GHz according to EVLeaks. In terms of RAM there is 2GB and storage is offered in either 32 or 64GB varieties.
There’s no word on whether a microSD is present and it isn’t visible from pictures either. The HTC One Max will have an UltraPixel rear facing camera and 2.1MP front facing camera. The battery is 3300 mAh and fuels the various connectivity options – NFC, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0.
Interestingly the HTC One Max uses a fingerprint scanner on the rear though its unclear how this will interact with the phone itself.
