HyperX Cloud Revolver S Premium Gaming Headset Now Available
Ron Perillo / 8 years ago
The HyperX Cloud Revolver S was demonstrated live to media at CES 2017 in Las Vegas earlier this year, representing Hyperx’ new premium gaming line that offers plug-and-play Dolby 7.1 Surround sound experience. The headset is equipped with 50mm drivers for big sound whether gaming or watching a movie, and it is also paired with a noise-cancelling microphone, so it is ready to play at a moment’s notice. The design itself is reminiscent of previous HyperX headsets, prioritising long-term comfort with a signature memory foam but the headband has now been widened to increase further comfort.
What is interesting about this headset is that unlike other 7.1 surround headsets that only use USB connector, the HyperX Cloud Revolver S has a 3.5mm jack which plugs into a USB audio control box. This box itself fits on the user’s palms and allows for handheld control and toggling when plugged in via USB. Since the headset has a 3.5mm jack, users can also bypass the 7.1 surround and use the HyperX Cloud Revolver S as a stereo headset when plugged in directly.
The Cloud Revolver S (MSRP $149.99US) will be available March 13, 2017, through HyperX’s network of retail and e-tail outlets. Cloud Revolver S includes a two-year limited warranty and HyperX’s industry-leading customer service and support.
