HyperX Pulsefire FPS Optical Gaming Mouse Review

Performance
This isn’t the first I have used this sensor and it never fails to impress me. Again we see it delivering perfect results, and the Pulsefire FPS managed to track perfectly at all four DPI settings. There’s no jitter, angle snapping or acceleration issues, so when you miss your next headshot, it’s your fault… or server lag, we can always try to blame that too.
The mouse is fantastic for gaming, the sensor is obviously pixel perfect, and when it comes to fast-paced FPS shooters, pixel accuracy is vital. The mouse will track at high speeds without fault, making it well suited to games like CS:GO, Overwatch, or any other shooter for that matter. HyperX is selling themselves a little short saying this is an FPS mouse though, it’s great for anything you throw at it. I tried a few games of LoL and DOTA2 and really any game where you’re using mouse and keyboard, it’s going to be fantastic.
The button configuration is a little limited, and those playing a lot of MMO/RPG games may want something with a few more controls. However, if you’re after a more focused approach and a mouse that doesn’t have 12 buttons on it, this is a great option.
The switches are light, responsive and have a satisfying tactile and audible click, giving them great accuracy and feedback that makes them well suited to gaming. However, the comfortable ergonomics are what sell me the most, and being able to comfortably hold the mouse in both palm and fingertip grip styles is certainly welcome, in particular for those all-nighter gaming sessions where comfort is key.
