iBuyPower introduces their fourth generation of gaming line featuring the X79 platform

iBuyPower, one of the many high end system builders, is following the pace by introducing their fourth generation of signature gaming system with the Chimera 4.

One of the features each version of the Chimera 4 will come with is a 10% overclock, although an optional configuration to 20% overclock is available.

“The vibrant Chimera 4 is the best looking system we have ever designed and one of the most powerful.” said Darren Su, Executive Vice President of iBuyPower. “It combines performance and style in a unique offering sure turn heads and leave scorched earth in its wake.”

iBuyPower offers the Chimera 4 in four baseline configurations, allowing you to choose from the Chimera 4-FX ($799), Chimera 4-E1 ($869), Chimera 4-E2 ($1,219), or the flagship Chimera 4-V1 ($1,659).

The last one, in other words the Chimera 4-V1, is build around the X79 platform, joining the list of the recent builders starting to offer Intel’s most recent release.

With the baseline configuration you will receive:

  • Chimera Inferno 4 gaming case
  • Intel Core i7 3930K processor
  • Liquid cooling system
  • Gigabyte X79-UD3 motherboard
  • 8GB of DDR3-1600 memory
  • AMD Radeon HD 6950 graphics card
  • 64GB ADATA S596 Turbo Solid State Drive
  • 24X DVD burner
  • 800W power supply
  • Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
  • Keyboard and mouse
  • 3-year warrany

Not much to complain, although it’s fully customizable to the costumers taste. Moreover, it also comes with free goodies depending on your final configuration. For example, with the baseline build you have the option for a free Battlefield 3 (with purchase of Inter Core i7 3960X or 3930K processor) as well as a free Deux Ex (with purchase of AMD Phenom II X6 processor or Radeon HD 6850 or higher video card), all you have to do to receive them is to check the bolded box.
