A Closer Look
The front does not have any accessible bays, as physical media is used less and less these days cases like this are becoming more common. This will mean if you want to burn a DVD or Blu-Ray you will need to get an external drive to do so.
The front, top mounted ports are located in a great position for those who will be setting the case on the floor. For those who will be using on a desk you may need to stand up when you plug things in to see what you are doing. There are two USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports along with headphone and mic jacks. The case lacks a reset button, which some people may miss.
The system ships with an Instapak inside the system to help keep everything in place during shipping. There are instructions reminding the customers to take this out before starting up the system. This stuff works great for this purpose, it would also be wise to keep the Instapak with the boxes in case you ever need to pack it up or ship it again.
iBuyPower did a very nice job with the wiring in this windowed case which makes the system look nice and clean.
The PSU is covered by a shroud with a backlit iBuyPower logo, and has SSD mounting trays on it. This helps keep the clean look in this windowed case by hiding the rats nest of cables.
The EVGA Superclocked GTX 980.
The AVC K7127N Liquid CPU Cooling System with a single 120mm radiator is tasked with cooling the 4790K, and proved to do a very good job while staying very quiet. The standard DDR3 1600 memory that is installed is G.Skill.
There are three 120mm LED fans mounted at the top of the case exhausting air out. They do a nice job of lighting up the case when the room is nice and dark.
Behind the motherboard tray, things are not too bad as things are kept as tidy as possible, and there is plenty of room for adding in components down the road should you need to.
The fan controller is on the backside of the motherboard tray, and there are plenty of hookups for extra fans; the motherboard fan connectors are also left free.
This is the LED lighting power board that provides power to the LED lighting that is integrated into the case.
