Test SetupAs always with our testing procedures, we try to remain as clear and concise as possible to give the fairest results on every bit of hardware we review. Hard drives and SSD’s are no different, hence we use the same system hardware and software benchmarks for all tests. This allows us to show exactly how a certain piece of hardware performs.By doing this, we can see the bigger picture as to how each and every item performs compared to its rival products. The enclosure we have today however is a new piece of kit for our test benches and it would be vary unfair to compare to to the hardware RAID that we see on the test benches motherboard, so for this review we can only give results and not a comparison to other product. Our testing rig features the following components:
- Motherboard: Asus F1A75-m Pro
- Processor (CPU): AMD A8-3850 APU
- Memory (RAM): 8Gb Corsair Vengeance LP DDR3 1600MHz
- Primary Storage Drive: Kingston V+ Series 96Gb SSD
- Power Supply: Corsair HW1050 1050W
- Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
- Test Storage Used: 2x Kingston V+ Series 64Gb SSDs
