ID-Cooling Frostflow 240L AIO Water Cooler Review

Final Thoughts

Price

Get ready to pick your jaws up off of the floor, as the retail price for the ID-Cooling 240L is just £62.99 from ID-Cooling’s own eBay store. That’s pretty freaking incredible for a cooler that offered up this level of performance.

Overview

Wow, that’s pretty much all that needs to be said about this cooler. The ID-Cooling 240L put up some seriously impressive performance figures, making it a great choice for those building a gaming system or overclocking their CPU. Sure it’s not quite as powerful in terms of cooling as some higher end hardware like the NZXT Krakon X61 or the Enermax LiqMax, but at nearly half the price of those competitors, you would have to be crazy not to consider the 240L.

The build quality is great, although nothing ground breaking. The radiator is a fairly standard looking design, but it looks tidy and it certainly gets the job done. The water cooling hoses are coated with a durable weave and while the plastic pump housing doesn’t offer much excitement, it does benefit from those funky LED lights and I am very impressed with how whisper quiet the pump was, even when running on an overclocked CPU.

It takes a little longer to install than some other water coolers, but it’s instructions are clearly laid out and the whole process can be done mostly tool free, with a screw driver for a few screws here and there. Either way, it’s certainly a beginner friendly process overall.

Pros

  • Good build quality
  • Nice design
  • LED lighting
  • High quality fans included
  • Great performance
  • Incredible value for money

Cons

  • Plastic housing on the pump looks a little cheap, but at this price, that’s relatively easy to brush aside

“If you’re looking to get great cooling performance for your system, without spending huge amounts of money, you’re going to be hard pushed to find better value than the 240L.”
