ID-Cooling has just introduced a brand new twin CPU cooler named SE-904, and even though it looks quite large, this product was actually designed with compactness in mind. Indeed, the first thing that catches the eye on the SE-904 is the D-type dual aluminium fin-stack heatsink, which is complemented by a pair of 92 mm fans and four 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes. It’s worth noting that these fans come with a blue LED illumination system and that they take 4-pin PWM input. Their speeds vary between 600 and 2,200 RPM, and they are each able to push out up to 38.5 CFM of air.
Those of you who are interested in noise output should know that each fan gives off between 14 and 23.8 dBA, which is definitely decent. It looks like the entire cooler measures 100 mm in length, 121.9 mm in width and 124 mm in height, and it weighs no more than 550 g. As far as compatibility goes, the ID-Cooling SE-904 can be installed in all modern systems based on FM2+, AM3+, LGA2011v3 and LGA115x sockets. Considering the fact that it can handle thermal loads of up to 150W, I’d say that this is a pretty reliable cooling solution for the average user, but you’re just going to have to try it out for yourself if you want to know for sure.
