If you’re going to install a cooler, then usually the first place you should be looking is in the manual. Specifically, to find and identify the parts necessary for your specific processor socket.
While the manual doesn’t make the best use of the space available, the diagrams are nice and clear and, in addition, while the written text is also basic, it’s better than you usually see!
In terms of the mounting system, anyone with experience in air coolers will feel immediately at home with this design. ID-Cooling hasn’t attempted to re-invent the wheel here and has stuck with a method that, put simply works!
You have your backplate with mounting pins that push through and, with the use of spaces, you attach your crossbars. From there, you’re just 2 screws away (and some thermal paste) away from having your radiator fitted.
From out of the box and onto our system, this cooler took us around 10 minutes to install. A little below average based on the usual ARGB designs that come with a few extra cables.
In terms of the presentation, it looks excellent. The ARGB lighting effects are nice and bright and, in addition to that, the design and patterning they’ve put into the top of the radiator are some of the best I’ve ever seen.
In terms of presentation and installation, this gets a huge thumbs up from us!
