ID-Cooling SE-914-XT ARGB CPU Cooler Review

Performance
Given that the ID-Cooling SE-914-XT ARGB is essentially something angling itself more towards the entry-level of the market, it’s not exactly a surprise that it’s not one of the best performers we have ever encountered in terms of temperature control. With that being said, however, there are still more than a few very positive results to take from our testing.
Firstly, at stock levels, the CPU temperature results provided were more than acceptable and perfectly adequate for long-term operation. In terms of overclocking, while this is just barely a viable option, based on the results seen here, we likely wouldn’t recommend this is a suitable choice for extended use in those circumstances. Let’s be honest though, for an air cooler this small, the results are generally much better than many might have anticipated.
What is perhaps the biggest standout result, however, is the acoustic performance. Despite relying on a single relatively small 92mm fan, the ID-Cooling SE-914-XT ARGB is remarkably quiet. If you do, therefore, value cool and quiet performance, it definitely seems to hit the mark in both of those remits. You just shouldn’t (for various reasons) expect this to be a good choice if you plan to do a little overclocking.
