ID-Cooling ZoomFlow 240 AIO Liquid Cooler Review

A Closer Look

Upon opening the ID-Cooling ZoomFlow 240, you will find all the parts and components nicely displayed within the packaging. Everything is covered either by plastic or within a box to prevent any damage or scratches. You will also find a manual which is, by usual standards, easy to read and understand.

Pump Block

The pump block has a nice circular design which is very pleasing to the eye when installed. You may also note in the picture below (it’d hard to tell when switched off) but the ID-Cooling logo is very lightly embossed to the centre.

The contact plate is nice and surprisingly large. Don’t forget though that this cooler is compatible with TR4 processors and they are usually around 40% larger than usual. As such, if you have one or not, this cooler should provide a nice level of coverage to your processor which will help optimise temperatures.

Radiator

In regards to the radiator, there isn’t much to say specifically about it. That isn’t a criticism as there isn’t often much to say about any of them. The vast majority is a black rectangle with some branding. In this regard though, the branding on the side is nice and clear while not being overly intrusive to the design.

Fans and Overall Build Thoughts

The fans used on this cooler are of an ID-Cooling design. As this is a 240mm cooler, you are, of course, provided with two of them. Each has the ID-Cooling logo nicely set to the center.

A closer look at the back confirmed that this fan is manufactured by ID-Cooling and it also has a date when it was done. As you can see, this fan in question is only a little over 3 months old.

For more in-depth details of the fan, ID-Cooling has provided a full list of specifications which we have copied in below. As you can see, an impressive air-flow and fast RPM should make these more than suitable for the task at hand!

Overall Design

When you put all the parts together the ID-Cooling ZoomFlow 240 is well presented. Whether the RGB lights are on or off. It’s an excellent looking cooler.

RGB Lighting Video

With a product that has such extensive RGB lighting effects, it can be difficult to put into words exactly how these translate into real-world applications. We’ve therefore put together a brief video below showcasing both the cooling fans and pump head RGB effects.

We’ve cycled through the vast majority of the programs available to show you whats on offer. This was easily done with the provided remote control although don’t forget though that this cooler can be linked to your motherboard if it has sync capability. That being said though, the remote control is excellent in terms of ease of use and functionality!
