Despite how good or nice a cooler might look on the box, there is still the tricky business of actually getting it onto your system. In our experience, this can vary from being an absolute doddle to being a complete nightmare! Trust us, we have a lot of experience in both categories!
In this instance, the ID-Cooling ZoomFlow 240 errs towards the easier side of things. In the past, we have never had much difficulty with their coolers and this was no exception. Their mounting system is quite straightforward and the manual provided with the cooler is decent. It is a little more reliant on pictures rather than written descriptions, but it’s still easy enough to understand to solve any problems you can’t figure out yourself.
If there is a criticism to be made of the cooler, it’s that there is a lot of cables coming from it. Even more so if you choose to connect this to your motherboard via sync. In fairness, this isn’t something unique to this specific cooler as we often find that many brands also have mass cables when it comes to getting everything together.
In this regard though, the cables are a decent length and should be easily hidden with some minimal strategy of cable management.
