Final Thoughts

Price

Although we were not able to confirm an exact price at the time of writing, indications suggest that the ID-Cooling ZoomFlow 240 will retail for a price in the region of £100. In terms of coolers, this is a little on the higher side, but when compared to the vast majority of those that give such a strong performance, this averages around £20-£30 less expensive.

While £100 is a lot to spend on a cooler, you’re getting some good value here in terms of what it provides!

Design and Ease Of Use

For a cooler that pushes RGB lighting so much, it can be very easy for a manufacturer to use this to try and hide other (more important) factors. For the ZoomFlow 240 though, that simply isn’t the case. While RGB lighting might not be for everyone, the lighting here is both bright and bold. Having the sync capacity is nice, but failing which the remote control is amazingly functional and gives you a massive array of options while being as easy to use as a TV controller.

The number of cables this cooler has does detract from it a little. With a bit of careful management though, this shouldn’t detract from its overall great design.

In terms of ease of use, as above, the remote control is excellent and very user-friendly. In terms of actually putting it all together, while this isn’t the easiest we have seen, it certainly wasn’t difficult either. This cooler, despite all of its bells and whistles, would suit everyone from an absolute beginner to an experienced hand.

Overview

As we said when we started this review, ID-Cooling is a brand that does have a reputation for providing good ‘bang for the buck’. They have, however, in our experience always provided a really decent product.

In this regard, the ZoomFlow 240 certainly isn’t cheap. That being said though, it’s performance levels are more than competing with many big brands in this area and it managed to do so at a retail price that is quite notably lower in comparison. Sure, there are coolers that provide better results in terms of temperatures or noise, but I sincerely doubt that they come anything close to this price tag.

It has the looks and it has the performance. The ID-Cooling ZoomFlow 240 might not be top of your list in terms of your system cooling solution, but there’s absolutely no reason why it shouldn’t be!

Pros

  • Excellent RGB lighting effects which are easy to use.
  • Punches massively above its weight in temperatures and noise levels.
  • Excellent performance for a comparatively low cost.
  • Easy to install.
  • The cooling definition of value for money!

Cons

  • None

Neutral

  • Cabling might look a little untidy without some decent management.
