Iiyama Announces the E-Gaming 24-inch ProLite GB2488HSU Gaming Monitor

Iiyama has announced a 24-inch ultimate gaming monitor designed for the hardcore gamer looking to get the ultimate gaming experience. The Iiyama ProLite GB2488HSU is said to be the latest TN LED monitor for its purpose in the company’s lineup.

The ProLite GB2488HSU features 1ms reponse time ensuring fluid and accurate transition between images and reduces ghosting or smearing, making it ideal for FPS games. Along with the 144 Hz rate, the 24-inch monitor offers superior framerate and reduces motion blur while providing smoother animations.

E-gaming is one of the monitor’s key features, offering customizable functions which enables user optimized functions to improve gaming experience, while the Video Mode Adjust feature matches any aspect such as 5:4 with pixel perfect accuracy. Additionally, it is also said to be possible to adjust the brightness and the dark shades with the Black Tuner, giving greater viewing performance in shadowed areas.

Other features such as the Direct Drive function aids in bypassing the monitor’s functions, which will get directed by the graphics card settings, allowing the user to get the highest framerate and lowest lag. If that does not suite you, the ProLite GB2488HSU itself comes with 5 screen modes covering a variety of purposes: Standard, Sport Game, FPS Game, Strategy Game and Text.

In terms of connectivity, the Iiyama ProLite GB2488HSU comes packed with a DVI-DL, two HDMI, a DisplayPort, a USB HUB. Speakers are also provided, though true gamers are bound to have their high-end ultimate gear made out of 5.1 or 7.1 professional speakers.

The 24-inch Iiyama ProLite monitor measures at a range of 13 cm with pivot function for portrait mode if required, having a price tag set of around €319 / $440 / £263 and will be available starting from March 13th in Europe.
