iiyama G-Master 45″ Ultra-Wide 165Hz Curved VA Monitor Review

There’s seemingly no shortage of incredible gaming monitors in 2024, with every panel technology such as VA, Fast IPS, and OLED all continuing to push new boundaries in terms of resolution, refresh rate, response time, curvature, efficiency, panel size and more. Well, that certainly holds true with the latest monitor from iiyama, which measures in at a whopping 45-inches, with a massive 5120 x 1440 (5K2K) resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, 1500R curvature, and a speedy 0.08ms response time. Now, admittedly, screens of this size and form factor aren’t new, and in fact, all the technologies here are easy to find in one monitor or another, but at just £799.99, the iiyama G-Master is now one of the cheapest panels in its respective class, despite having specifications that can go head-to-head with big name players like LG, HP, Lenovo, and Acer, who are all big players in this super-wide big-screen format.
