In case a 4K Ultra HD resolution display is not enough, then Iiyama might have a monitor for you. Their ProLite XB2779QQS 27-inch 5K UHD display announced earlier this year is now available in Europe. It has a native resolution of 5120 x 2880, which is 7x that of a full-HD monitor. It has a brightness of 440 cd/m^2, a contrast ratio of 1200:1 and has a 4ms response time.
Despite the larger resolution, it does not sacrifice image fidelity since it uses an IPS panel rather than a TN panel. IPS technology offers higher contrast, darker blacks and much better viewing angles than standard TN technology. Furthermore, the viewing angles are also superior. To minimize eye-fatigue, it is also a flicker-free monitor with blue light reducer function.
In terms of connectivity, it has 3x HDMI ports, 2x DisplayPorts and has one headphone output jack.
The Iiyama ProLite XB2779QQS-S1 has an MSRP of 799 EUR before VAT.
