Iiyama ProLite XB3070WQS 30-Inch Monitor Released

Iiyama has just announced its latest monitor, the ProLite XB3070WQS with a size of 30-inch and a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. The high colour gamut monitor is the perfect choice for graphic and web design of all sorts.

Using an AH-IPS panel that can display 16,777,216 colours, has a viewing angle of 89 degrees, and a colour accuracy of 109% Adobe RGB  (99% coverage) and 146% sRGB make this monitor a great choice. It’s further possible to scale the 16:10 WQXGA monitor up to 2880 x 1800 pixels.

The display uses a flicker-free LED backlight technology and has reduced blue-light to give a better working environment and less eye-strain on long work-days in front of the PC. The i-Style Colour function has five presets: standard, landscape, movies, games, and text to give the best possible display of your current active work.

The new Iiyama XB3070WQS monitor has a pretty basic contrast of 1000:1 typical and up to 5,000,000:1 advanced dynamic contrast. The brightness is set to 350cd/m2 and it uses a separate sync for the two direction with 24 to 75Hz horizontal and 55 to 75Hz vertical.

It doesn’t have a multitude of connections, but it does offer anything you need with a VGA and DVI-D connector as well as HDMI and DisplayPort. There’s also a line in and out for the sound and headphones and the monitor has two 3W speakers built in.

The stand is height adjustable up to 107mm and can swivel 90 degrees; 45 left and 45 right. You can tilt it up to 17 degrees as well to get just the right viewing angle at your workplace. The monitor also supports the VESA 100×100 standard if you prefer to wall-mount it instead of using the included stand.

The package contains almost every cable you need to connect the monitor to your system as it has an audio, DVI-D, DisplayPort and miniDisplayPort to DisplayPort cable included in the box. The power consumption is rated to 73W typical and less than 0.5W in standby mode. This corresponds with the EU energy certification class C.

The new monitor has started selling on the home-market that is Japan for 140,400 Yen and will most likely arrive in the rest of the world very shortly. The converted currency would equal about £815 making this one of the more expensive monitors.
