Japanese display manufacturer Iiyama has added a new screen to its range the “ProLite B2008HDS” which will be a 20″ TFT LED backlit monitor with a maximum resolution of 1600by900 which is only partial HD as it falls short of 1080p but meets 720p. It will have a 16:9 aspect ratio, a response time of just 2ms for increased responsiveness and it will have VGA (D-Sub) and DVI dual link inputs.
The static contrast ratio is at 1000:1 whilst the dynamic ratio is 30000:1. It stands on a 90 degree pivot and can have the height adjusted up to 10cm higher than the default position. The monitor will have built in 1w speakers but it is unlikely they will be needed as these are aimed at gamers (due to the low response time) who are likely to already have speakers. They come with a 3 year warranty at a price of 129 euros.
