If you live in the UK or Ireland today is your lucky day as a new opportunity has arisen where you can now apply to work in a virtual Ikea shop in Roblox! The new game will launch on Roblox on the 24th of June, allowing players to experience working in a Virtual Ikea universe.

This is real too I’m not sure why it’s real and I can hardly believe it myself but yes Ikea is paying people to work in a virtual Ikea store on Roblox.
Earlier today, Ikea announced they would be hiring 10 people to run their virtual storefront on Roblox as part of an initiative to showcase potential career opportunities. However, despite the focus on young people, the positions are exclusively for individuals 18 years of age or older.

The job appears to fully replicate that of an actual Ikea employee, offering the same pay and opportunities for career advancement. As Ikea stated, “You have the opportunity to move departments, flex your skills, and get promoted.” You can even serve virtual meatballs, mirroring the experience of working in a physical Ikea store.
Although the contract is limited you will get to work fully remotely with the same hourly pay as an actual employee so as far as remote jobs go it’s not actually that bad. If you are interested you can apply for the job here.
