A recently leaked image reveals what could be the provisional design for the new Blackberry phone. Now, before we go any further, I already know what you are thinking, ‘I thought Blackberry didn’t make phones anymore’ and strictly speaking, you would be correct.
In truth, I only wrote an article regarding this and the companies shares rocketing this week.
The phone is being produced by the company TCL who purchased the intellectual property rights to name a phone product the ‘Blackberry’.
So, strictly speaking, this isn’t a Blackberry phone, but it is going to carry the styling and brand name at least.
In my previous article, I did express how I am a bit of an inadvertent Blackberry fan. I’ve never deliberately gone out of my way to own a Blackberry phone or tablet, yet over the years, some have gravitated towards my possession. Generally speaking, I have found every product of theirs I own to be of a very good quality. The speakers in the Playbook are of such a good quality that I still use it today as a portable radio of sorts.
Yes, their phones didn’t really maintain much of a hip image. Those clunky keyboards at the bottom certainly didn’t help. My sausage fingers could barely operate it.
The above is an apparently leaked image of the new design and it comes to us via TechPowerUp.
The design is certainly quite slick. I must say, although I am not a massive fan of mobile phones, this one does have my attention. This could certainly fill a ‘no thrills’ niche in the community which Apple has left behind.
It would, at the very least, be a decent alternative to your iPhone 8 after it has exploded while charging.
The phone is set to include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, a 4,000 mAh battery with a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. As above, nothing amazing, but this might be nice for someone who just wants a straightforward, but slick phone.
