Recently we’ve seen a lot of leaks about the soon-to-be-released NVIDIA RTX 4070 which is getting a bit boring, so let’s look at the RTX 4060(Ti) where images of the Founders Edition model of the card have been leaked online.
Images of the RTX 4060 or 4060TI Founders edition were leaked by Twitter user @KittyYYuko showing photos of both the front and back of the card. The design of the card itself is nothing interesting as it is simply just a smaller version of the RTX 40 series cooler design we have seen with the existing FE cards on other models. KittyYYuko has labelled this card as a 4060ti despite it saying RTX 4060 in the image and why they have claimed it as a TI model is unclear.
Based on information from VideoCardz the RTX 4060 Ti is expected to be using an AD106-350 GPU with 4352 CUDA cores, 8GB of GDDR6 memory on a 128-bit memory bus and a 160W TDP. The non-Ti RTX 4060 is instead expected to use an entry-level AD107-400 GPU instead with 3072 CUDA cores and the same memory config as the TI with a lower TDP of 115W.
There is nothing to suggest that NVIDIA will plan to launch FE cards for the 4070 or 4060 and these images could very well be test samples that will never actually see a market release.
On the same day, KittyYYuko also leaked an image of an unreleased Founders edition RTX 4070ti initially known as the RTX 4080 12GB. The 4070ti was never released with a founders edition design but from these leaked images NVIDIA definitely had plans for a card but didn’t follow through with it and they could very well do the same with the 4060.
What do you think of this leak, Do you think NVIDIA will release FE variants of the 4060 and 4070? Let us know in the comments.
