Impressive Paradox Game Engine by Silicon Studio

Founded in 2000 in Tokyo, Japan, Silicon Studio is a computer graphics technology company and independent video game developer that’s responsible for the creation of the YEBIS post-processing visual effects library and YEBIS 2 post-processing visual middleware solution. In more recent news, the company has been working on a beautiful new game engine named Paradox, which just got a sizeable update.
The Silicon Studio team decided to show off the new features included in the update by revealing a demo named “Industrial Workerbot.” The most important additions include Physically Based Rendering with Layered Material System as well as easy-to-use post-effects API and a brand new scene editor. The demo highlights the engine’s incredible attention to detail, lighting effects and reflections. Judging by how well everything looks, it would make sense to use the Paradox engine for the creation of futuristic games that include mech-suits, robots or generally industrial-based themes. However, the competition’s pretty strong in the game engine world right now, with Unreal Engine 4, Rage and Crytek’s CryEngine 3 still being some of the most popular choices for developers.
Have a look at the following video and let us know what you think about the Paradox engine.
