In Win GRone Full Tower Chassis Review

With the side panel off we can immediately see that the GRone comes well equipped with everything you could need in a gaming chassis. The motherboard mounting plate has a huge cut-out which should help with installing our CPU cooler. We have a horizontal cable management hole in the top left, one vertical cut-out in the bottom centre and three more on the right hand side, all of which come fitted with good quality rubber grommets. Aside from that we also have another cutaway in the bottom right section that could be used for routing things like water cooling pipes and cables.
You will also find a USB 3.0 native header, two 140mm fans in the back and three 140mm fans in the front, but we’ll take a closer look at those in a moment.
The rear of the chassis has a decent quality 140mm exhaust fan, below which you will find 8 PCI slot covers, each fitted with quick release thumb screws for easy installation.
The top of the chassis also comes with a 140mm exhaust fan pre-installed, but there is still plenty of room for additional fans, a radiator or passive airflow through the top of the chassis.
The front of the chassis comes fitted with a red LED 140mm fan, behind which you will find 8 quick release hard drive bays which all support 3.5″ and 2.5″ drives and finally behind those you will find a further two 140mm red LED pre-installed fans. That brings us up to 5 x 140mm fans pre-installed in this system with room to spare for more.
The three red LED fans all come mounted on quick release chips, this allows you to remove them easily for maintenance.
Around the back of the chassis we get a better view of the cable management cut-outs, which at the moment are taken up by the pre-wired front panel cables, although I’m sure I can make that look a little better in the build section of this review.
Here we can see what lies behind the front panel. Each of the 5.25″ drive bays comes with a break-off panel which isn’t replaceable, this is something I don’t like but its hardly a deal breaker. Finally we can see the air intake cut-outs that will provide airflow to the pair of 140mm intake fans.
