The PC market has been a bit hit and miss when it comes to the Halo franchise. Sure we got the first one, but it was all a bit downhill from there. The second required you to upgrade to Vista, which no one was happy about, anywhere, ever. We Didn’t get any of the main games after that, the Halo Online game wasn’t and still isn’t formally available in western markets, and Halo Wars gets dumped on the Windows Store where few will ever find it.
So using Microsoft’s “Game Content Usage Rules”, a very talented team of game makers have been working hard to give the PC the Halo experience it deserves and the results so far have been pretty spectacular.
“Installation 01 a Halo fan game being made by 30+ Halo lovers working from around the world. It aims to be an artistic tribute to Halo. Our goal is to recreate the multiplayer experience of the Halo games, and for gamers to enjoy an amazing Halo experience world-wide on Windows, Macintosh and Linux computers.” reads the official website
Earlier this week, the team released their latest ViDoc; The Journey to CE3 2016, and you can check that out below.
What do you think of the game so far? If anything it looks like they’re doing more for Halo than the game’s main developers! We can’t wait to play this game at a few LAN parties!
